Hello,
in team contests you should enter institution. My question is if the institution should be the same?

No ,it need not be same.

You just need a team of that many members or less to have an account in codechef, once you create a team and register for a contest you can invite anyone to the team to participate in the contest,its upto them to join your team or not.
