This is to bring to your notice that all users whose solutions were same in Kamehameha question of October Long Challenge have had their rating increased. This is unjustified and unfair.
An earlier post on forum has highlighted about 20 to 25 solutions which were exactly the same as this solution for Kamehameha problem.
On visiting their profiles, I found that all of them had their ratings increased.
I request the admin to look into this matter.
According to the new system to combat cheating, each time the ratings of a contest is calculated,only the cases of cheating in the previous contest are also considered so ratings of both contests are re-calculated. This is done to reduce time taken to calculate new ratings as it takes time to report all the cheating cases of the previous month.
In short cheating cases of October will be considered while calculating ratings for November and first October will be recalculated considering cheating and then November will be calculated without cheating. So those who cheated in October will have their ratings reduced after November Long.
Hi Rishul, We have not considered the cheating cases for the month of October. We will be considering them at the time of rating calculation of next month as @kcahdog has cleared in his answer below. However, if you come across any cheating case where the ratings have not been dropped do let us know.
