need advise for improving running time

I’m new to codechef and also a beginner.
I solved INTEST with this solution: http://www.codechef.com/viewsolution/3663846

Its running time was nearly 5.6s. Some other solutions in C are taking very less time as compared to mine e.g: http://www.codechef.com/viewsolution/294201

Can u pls advise some ebooks on competitive programming which can help in these stuffs.

I can just advice you to read about fast I/O methods and functions…Read them online and it’ll help you for sure… :slight_smile: #happycoding
