whenever you contribute to the community and community likes your work you are given an appreciation which is basically what is a karma . For instance you posted answer for some question and people really liked that they will upvote you and you will get karma which is basically your reputation in the community . And for you being unable to upvote is because you have just 1 karma as for now when you will get the desired no of karmas you will be able to upvote as well . Till then keep contributing and helping the community . cheers

I noticed there are many things which are same in both the profiles. Is it your alt. account? Cause they arent allowed and will get you banned if @admin finds out.
