When I tried to create an instance in ECS on the alibaba cloud I was asked to enter billing information. Is it necessary tho? Could I just host my api on the cloud without entering my billing (credit card) information? Is there a way?
Check the email you received from the Chef, it clearly states that no need for that.
The email says:
“Step 1: Create a free account on Alibaba Cloud by going here (https://goo.gl/EUBVsN). At the end of the registration process, you will be asked to enter payment details but you don’t need to enter them and you can proceed with the step 2.”
