tried cormen but i guess its not my cup of tea
so any other good algorithm book

Same thing happening with me. 
I would probably buy a book which has implementations of all algorithms. I wouldn’t copy them but try to understand the algo first then try to code it, and if I’m not able to, I’ll look it up and then try again.
