Hey @tushkitripathi,

nice job man, but you are not verifying user’s handles of other website, so if User A want to use User B’s codechef handle, he can use without any restriction. It is a big problem because it is directly impacting your leaderboard.

Each of the users details will be displayed on their profile page (take for example this profile http://databread.in/user.php?chusli ).
So it can be verified.

but how will your leaderboard verify that all user handles are correct and belong to that user?

I am just saying that if you update your codechef user handle with any other’s codechef handle, then how will the algo (which is behind the leaderboard) get to know that there is something wrong?

Thanks, will try finding a way to do that.

That’s definitely a lot of work for one person! He should try finding some interested people. A positive peer group is very helpful in coping with difficulties!!

Hey @apptica, You might have a look at StopStalk (https://www.stopstalk.com/). It retrieves all your submissions from Codechef, Codeforces, Spoj, HackerRank, HackerEarth, UVa and provides a detailed analytics on top of it. Though the motivation for creating StopStalk is completely different altogether. Good work @tushkitripathi

A small suggestion as you are showing the list of registered users to everyone irrespective of the person knowing the other person or not.So you can add a provision that a person has to add as a friend to see him/her in the leader-board rather than seeing him anonymously.

Sorry @naksh9619 but this is what the aim of the website is, to compare all the competitive coders at a single place. Also every website like codechef or spoj etc. also have public leaderboards so that should not be a problem.

Also if you wish to search for for friends then you might try filtering the leaderboard by your institution name.

Thanks

Filtering by institution name would create a chaos after all we have to search many colleges if our friends belong to various colleges.Don’t you think so?
